Lizard Field
Open shortgrass prairie running to a badland ridge under broken cloud

Built in the field, for the field

Equipment made by someone who has to use it.

Screens and north arrows, made to order. Every one came out of a real problem on a real project.

What we make

Two products, both made to order, both designed on survey and revised after seasons of use.

Cedar-framed sifting screen standing on its folding steel legs

Western red cedar basket on folding steel legs. Slim enough to stack, light enough to carry all day, and built so the mesh can be replaced in the field with a screwdriver.

Designed on the job, not at a desk

Everything here started as a complaint. A screen too heavy to carry to the last unit of the day. A north arrow that photographed badly and cost a reshoot. The fix got built, taken back out, and revised until it stopped being a problem.

That is the whole method. It is also why the equipment is made to order, because the right dimensions depend on the ground you are working.
